BORKNAGAR: No US Tour In Support Of "Empiricism"

Despite previous reports to the contrary, BORKNAGAR will not be coming over for an American tour in support of their Empiricism CD, according to bassist Tyr. "It's quite clear that the tour-planning for Empiricism was lacking, and now its really not enough time to work out an American tour this summer," stated Tyr. "We thought we could perhaps delay the tour until November, but we found that working on the new album in the last two months of this year would be the correct priority for us. We'll spend January-February (2003) in the studio, and we target April or August for the release, hopefully worldwide. Touring will start shortly thereafter."

Although nothing has yet been confirmed, BORKNAGAR are said to be in talks to make an appearance at this year's Milwaukee Metal Fest in July, which will mark the group's only US performance in support of Empiricism. A European tour is likely to take place in October.
